Dig Out Your Sweaters, A Major Cool Down Coming To WNY
It looks like all the Pumpkin Spice Lattes reminded Mother Nature that Fall is near here in Western New York.
Coming off the 3rd warmest August in Western New York history, a major cool down will help rusher in the month of September. Get ready to see the high temperature drop nearly 10 to 15 degrees next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, we will see a major cold front sweep through much of the Northeast bring much cooler weather to Western New York.
The cooldown will start next Wednesday where we could only see the high temperature of 71 degrees. The lows will drop down to the mid-50s at night as well. The cooldown will be expected to continue all through the weekend with highs expected to never get above 72. The good news is that the cold front will also bring an end to the oppressive humidity that we have seen in Western New York over the past week.
We will also see mostly sunny skies next week which will make for perfect fall days. The only thing we will be missing will be the color changing of the leaves.
So go ahead, grab those sweaters, hoodies, and pumpkin spice lattes, because fall weather will be back in Western New York sooner than later. Also, the weather will be perfect for the start of the Buffalo Bills football season, who will kick off the season at home at Highmark Stadium on September 12th against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
