According to their Facebook page, the Niagara County SPCA says Joey the pitbull, who spent over 500 days at the shelter, has finally been adopted!

You can check out the video below. Grab the tissues.

Joey is described as a lovable, sweet and mellow pup. He loves treats, dishing out kisses and going on walks. His flaw is he doesn't like other dogs and cats.

It looks like Joey found a fantastic forever home too. He was once adopted, but soon returned to the shelter. Joey looks adorable and I'm beyond thrilled he finally found a home. It must be so hard for a dog to spend that long at the SPCA, but the people there treated him very well.

Way to go Joey!
