A few months ago, we told you that Duff's was eyeing the Elmwood Village to become the home of their latest location.  Now, that looks as though it's closer to happening than ever.

According to WKBW, a letter of intent has been signed by Duffs but they haven't agreed on a lease yet with Sinatra and Company who owns the building.

However, Sinatra and Company will submit plans to the Buffalo Planning Board tomorrow for a potential new location at the home of the former JJ's Casa-di-Pizza at Elmwood and Hodge, a building that has been empty since JJ's Casa-di-Pizza moved to Washington and Mohawk in 2015.

It's hard to believe that should this deal go through, would be Duffs' first location within the city limits of Buffalo.  The other locations in the Western New York area are in Amherst, Depew, Williamsville (Eastern Hills Mall), Niagara Falls, and Orchard Park.  There are also locations in Rochester, Texas, Georgia, and a couple in Canada.
