Two Bills Coming Back From IR For Saturday’s Game Against Denver
There have been a lot of moves on the Buffalo Bills' roster this year due to injuries. The players on IR for them this year has reached double digits. But this weekend, they're getting some good news as two players are coming back off IR to help take on Denver.
The Bills announced they're bringing two players back
It feels like it's been forever since we've seen Ed Oliver or Curtis Samuel on the field for the Bills, but they're coming back at a time when we need them most.
Oliver has been out since October when he tore his bicep in a game against the Carolina Panthers. Samuel was placed on IR on November 28th as he continued to struggle with neck and rib injuries week after week.
Now is the perfect time for Oliver and Samuel to come back
The Bills are getting Oliver and Samuel back when they need them the most. This wide receiver room has been diminished over the last couple of weeks. They're down to just three healthy wide receivers after losing both Gabe Davis and Tyrell Shavers to torn ACL injuries last weekend against the Jaguars.
The defensive line can always use replacements to keep those guys fresh. After losing Jordan Phillips to IR last week, it will be a breath of fresh air to get Oliver back. He was having what looked like a great season before he got injured.
The only concern with their return to the field
The biggest concern when a player returns from IR is whether they will be healthy enough to withstand the level of play they're jumping back into. To come back from a bicep injury like what Oliver sustained this early is aggressive, to say the least. Hopefully, he'll be able to come back and be a factor in the game, while remaining healthy throughout the rest of the Bills' run.
