Event To Support Popular East Aurora Resident

There is a an event planned on September 8th to support one of East Aurora's most popular residents. 

Lenny Mazurkiewicz was struck with an unexpected and debilitating illness which requires long-term and special health care on his long road to recovery.

I have known Lenny for a lnog time. I grew up with his sons and even was fortunate to be on little league teams he coached!

As a leader in the community, Lenny earned a long list of community service awards; Prominent citizen of East Aurora, Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the year; 15 year member of the Loyal Order of Moose-multiple awards and offices held; Athletic Awards, East Aurora Baseball Hall of Fame, EAHS Athletic Hall of Fame, WNY Baseball Hall of Fame; Town of Aurora Youth Board member; and Little League Baseball and Little Loop Coach.  One if his most prized roles was pitcher in the Aktion Club Baseball League, where he played baseball with Adults with disabilities.  Lenny is a Son of the American Legion and Past Commander who spend countless hours working in the kitchen for Fish Fries, steak roasts, and MC for gun raffles and many other events.
