WARNING: Don’t Park Near These in New York State

There is a warning for some vehicle owners in New York State this week. According to reports, if these vehicles are parked too close to buildings, there is a risk they could catch fire and potentially spread flames to nearby structures.

Until further notice, owners of the affected vehicles are being advised to park away from homes, garages, and other buildings.

According to recent reports, there is growing concern about a defect involving certain Jeep vehicles that could increase the risk of fire.

The warning affects approximately one million vehicles and involves specific model years of the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator.

Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Owners Urged To Use Caution

According to the recall notice, certain Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator models from 2021 through 2025 are included in the warning.

"the recall covers an estimated 1,076,999 model-year 2021–2025 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles. In the affected vehicles, an electrical issue involving the wiring for the electric hydraulic power steering pump could cause nearby materials to overheat and potentially ignite".

Owners are being advised to park these vehicles away from buildings and other structures until the issue can be addressed.
