Is Summer Finally Ending In Western New York?
It might be time to put away those tank-tops and shorts here in Western New York.
The first official day of Fall is less than a week away, and it looks like Mother Nature got the message.
Fall Weather Headed To Western New York
The end of summer will come this weekend as a cold front is set to push through the 716 and bring with it a massive cooldown, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
The good news is that we still have a couple more days of summer here in Western New York.
The warm and sunny days we have seen for the last week and a half will continue through Thursday night, which is perfect for Buffalo Bills football.
The cooldown will start on Friday. While it will remain sunny, temperatures will drop into the low 70s and up 60s. The low will get into the 40s heading into Saturday morning, and then of course comes the rain.

We will see a mix of sun and clouds with some afternoon rain before thunderstorms move into the area on Sunday. Temperatures will remain near normal for the start of Fall next Monday, with more rain in the forecast for late next week.
Possible Early Lake Effect Snow For Western New York
With the extended warm weather we have had over the past couple of weeks, it could become a problem for early Lake Effect Snow.
The cooler air in October moving over the warm lake water means we could end up getting early October snow around Western New York.
