FIRST IN BUFFALO! Spring It On: Day Of Giving

This is pretty cool. This is the first time in the history of Buffalo that this is going on. Today, this one day event is going on where you have the power to make a heavy impact in our community.

A first-of-its-kind event in our community, Spring It Onis a new, 24-hour online giving event designed to raise awareness and funds for not-for-profit organizations in the Buffalo Niagara community. Spring It On will mobilize local residents for one day of giving to strengthen and support the nonprofits that make our region a vibrant place to live. It allows individuals to be part of something that can have a tremendous impact on a variety of organizations and those they serve within a very short time frame.

Individuals can make a one-time, secure, online donation to the local not-for-profit agency of their choice through a specially designed website, Fundraise.SpringItOn.org.

More than 145 non-profit organizations throughout Erie and Niagara Counties representing all sectors including arts and cultural, health and human services, environmental, religious, animal protection and others have signed on to participate.

Spring It On updates will be posted throughout March 1 on The United Way of Buffalo and Erie County Facebook page and Twitter account via #SpringItOn, as well as on social media pages of participating organizations. For more information, visit Fundraise.SpringItOn.org.
