Ring In The New Year Virtually With First Night Buffalo
Once again due to a spike in COVID-19 positive cases in Western New York, you can ring in the New Year virtually with First Night Buffalo.
Last year, the organizers of First Night Buffalo took the party virtually and it was a big hit for many Western New York families, so they decided to do it again to ring in 2022.
Plus, just like last year, you can get a "Party Box" to use in the celebration and the money raised will help the kids at John R. Oishei Children's hospital.
Party Boxes are for sale at select area Tops Friendly Markets and contain a ton of goodies that will help you ring in the New Year as a family.
This year the Family of Four Party Box includes:
10 Balloons
6 Balloon animals
1 Pump for balloons
1 Box of Crayons
1 Coloring Banner
1 Conversation Cards
1 Disco Ball Lightbulb
2 Explore and More Activity Booklets
1 Face Paint (Neon)
1 Festival of Lights Voucher
4 Glow Sticks
3 Juggling Scarves
4 Party Hats
1 Recipe Card
2 Spin Drums
8 Tattoos
2 Wikki Stix
Everything that comes in the party box corresponds with one of the entertainers that will be performing online during First Night Buffalo.
This year First Night Buffalo doesn't have an official start time. On December 31st, the videos featuring the performers will be posted on the First Night Buffalo website and you can watch when it is convenient for you and your family.
Carrie Meyers from the Independent Health Foundation, who is sponsoring the event, talked about all the fun that is in store for you and your kids with First Night Buffalo.
