There is a new recall of a certain popular food at Wegmans stores in New York State.

The fall is about to begin and with it comes the daily routine of trying to come up with a menu for the family. As the kids go back to school it is a blessing and a curse for families. It is great to to have the routine back but also a challenge managing schedules and what to eat every night.

Before we get to the Labor Day weekend, there is an alert from Wegmans about the Jamaican Jerk Chicken.

Supermarket chain Wegmans has announced a recall of its Jamaican Jerk Style chicken breast and thighs. The products have undeclared allergens in them including milk, soy, and wheat which are not listed on the label.

There has been a string of recent recall here in New York and across the country. Now we are hearing about crackers that are being recalled.

The third food to be recalled is also from Trader Joe's. The Trader Joe's cooked falafel has raised some concerns.

The New York State Department of Health is working hard to get people ready for the upcoming fall, cold and flu season as well as reminding people to get a COVID vaccine.

According to a series of Tweets from NYS DOH, we may see an uptick in COVID cases as we end the summer and move to the cooler weather of fall.

But don't put away the summer gear just yet. August can be a very hot month and this summer has already set many records across the country and here in the Empire State.
