Wahoo! Jim Thome is headed to Cooperstown! It was announced Wednesday evening that he would be joining Chipper Jones, Vladimir Guerrero, and Trevor Hoffman into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame. Thome was named on 89.8 percent of the 422 ballots cast and that is awesome!

Jim Thome is best known for his years with the Cleveland Indians where he spent 13 season as one of the best hitters to ever be on the team. He was part of the golden years of the team where the Indians made it to the World Series and made the 95-97 Indians the favorites in the hearts of many Clevanders to this day.

People may not know that he also spent some time right here in Buffalo with the Bisons on a rehab assignment which is equally exciting, see how he helped the team wins some games on their way to winning the IL Championship in 1998. This will be the 21st member of the organization to make it into the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

Congratulations to Jim Thome, this honor is so well deserved!
