“Napoleon Dynamite Night” Coming To Ballpark In Rochester

Baseball season is about to be in full swing, and teams around New York State are getting ready for fans to come back to the stadium to root (Root! Root!) for their home team. 

With MLB Spring training beginning in a week, minor league teams throughout the Empire State are releasing their season schedules earlier than ever, and along with them, unveiling some amazing promotions that fans can look forward to.

We haven’t seen what the AAA Syracuse Mets have in store for their fans yet, but both the Buffalo Bisons and the Rochester Red Wings have rolled out some details about their 2024 promotional schedule . 

Besides the fun-loving Savannah Bananas making the trip to Sahlen Stadium in Buffalo this July, the Bisons are bringing back some favorites like Star Wars night, Lacrosse Night with the Buffalo Bandits, and their Independence Eve Celebration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. 

The Rochester Red Wings are also bringing back some go-to game festivities like SuperHero Weekend and Women In Sports night, and they’ll be introducing fans to their newest adorable addition - Bruce the Bat Dog. 

But we must say, there’s one promotion coming to Western New York that we’ve never seen done before -  and we’re really looking forward to this one!

Napoleon Dynamite Night Coming To Western New York

Yesssssssss.

For the first time, the Rochester Red Wings will be hosting “Napoleon Dynamite” night at the ballpark. 

The cult-classic film, quoted by countless millennials throughout the early 2000s, will be taking over Innovative Field in Rochester, New York on Tuesday, June 11th, when the Wings face the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at 6:45pm.

There’s not too many details released about the night yet, but we’re sure to expect some fun-filled giveaways and themed foods on the menu (not having a “Dang Quesadilla” or a “Gimme Some Of Your Tots” would definitely be a missed opportunity). 

We do know, though, that one of the stars of the film will be making an appearance at the game. 

Pedro Sanchez To Make An Appearance At Red Wings Game

No matter who you vote for this fall, we can all agree to “Vote For Pedro” this spring! Efren Ramirez, who played Napoleon’s loveable sidekick Pedro, will be in attendance at the game that night. “I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious…” 

On June 11th, do whatever you feel like you wanna do - GOSH! But we think that this Red Wings game looks like a ridiculously good time.
