4 Free Agents The Bills Might Let Walk (And 4 They Probably Won’t)

Now that the Super Bowl is over, it's on to the offseason for the Buffalo Bills and the rest of the NFL. That means players will be on the move for every team, and that includes the Bills. As much as we hate to see players that we love go, we're reminded every year that the NFL is a business when they move on. So if you're the Bills, which players would you make a push for, and which ones would you let go?

It's not always a case of how good they are

When it comes to which players you keep and which ones you let go, it's not always about how good they are. Unfortunately, teams have to let good players go all the time because of how much they're worth. Sometimes they just can't afford to pay them what they can get somewhere else. Gabe Davis is a good example of this. As much as the Bills probably would have liked to have kept him, with all the other contracts they had at the time, they couldn't afford to pay him what he was able to get in Jacksonville. So he went there. Unfortunately he ended up getting hurt there and didn't play a lot so his asking price went down and the Bills were able to scoop him up again.

The Bills will almost definitely be letting some big names go

Some players who have been consistent with the Bills over the past couple of years will probably be wearing new colors next year. You wouldn't imagine a full reset like we saw the year the Bills lost both Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs, but there will be some big names going to new places.

Here are four players we expect the Bills to let walk this offseason

Brandon Beane definitely has some work to do. He's going to have some major holes to fill. He will have to figure out who he's keeping on the offensive line, and if they move to a 3-4, he's going to need some more linebackers to put back there. Of course, we all know he needs receivers too. So will he try to hold on to some of the players he already has in-house, or will he try to find new talent from other teams before filling in the gaps with the draft? It's a big year for him. He's going to want to get this one right.
