When is National First Responders Day? Every year it is October 28 every year. United States Congress made it 'official' back in 2017. It is not a federal holiday, but it is obviously not nationally recognized.

First responders including firefighters, police officers, nurses, doctors, military personnel, and anyone else who works in the healthcare field our hats go off to you, day in and day out. We support you protecting and taking care of the people that live in the United States of America That is why we play the National Anthem every single day at noon and midnight.

The CDC says that "approximately 88,000 firefighters are injured each year; about 2,000 of their injuries are potentially life-threatening. Approximately 100,000 police were injured in 2000".

If you have a family member or friend who is a first responder, you know how important it is. You also know how hard it can be some days after you hear the stories of what your loved one has to go through. It certainly is not easy. Our first responders, willingly put their lives in danger every single day to protect us.

So, in order to celebrate, there are some FREEBIES that our first responders can get as a small 'thank you'. There are a ton, but here in New York State here are some that you can take advantage of. (I know that there is not Krispie Kreme in Western New York anymore, but if you felt like going to take a drive an hour south to go to Erie, PA, you could go get a free donut!)
