New Buffalo Version of “Mr. Brightside” by Mafia Babes + Goo Goo Dolls
Buffalo Bills: year of Mr. Brightside.
The Buffalo Bills and the Bills Mafia have really take the song Mr. Brightside and made it 'their own' this season and now, Goo Goo Dolls founder Robby Takac has helped make a new "Buffalo" version of the song along with the Mafia Babes and more.
Why is Mr. Brightside played at all of the Buffalo Bills games now?
If you don't know, the Buffalo Bills fans (and the team) have adopted Mr. Brightside as their song this year. Of course, the SHOUT song will always stay, but after Dawson Knox' wedding, the tradition really seemed to stick.
There was a video from the wedding and all the Bills players were jumping up and down screaming the words. Now, it is a tradition that when the Buffalo Bills are winning toward the end of the game, the DJ will play Mr. Brightside. The Buffalo Bills won every single contest that came through Orchard Park this year, so it played every single time.
The Buffalo, New York 'version'
Goo Goo Dolls founder Robby Takac recently got a group of people together to make a new version of The Killers' hit song. Robby Takac said that he saw all these people loving the song so much, but it was by a band from Las Vegas and that there needed to be a more "Buffalo version", so he got to it. He enlisted one of his favorite local up and coming bands named, Letter to Elsie to help lead the way. You can hear Robby start the song in the version below, followed by Letter to Elsie and then members of the Mafia Babes and Bills Mafia's biggest fans.
