Good Morning America, TODAY Show Coming to Buffalo, New York
There are going to be a lot of major TV producers coming to Buffalo, New York very soon to cover one of the coolest, new traditions here in Western New York. Good Morning America and the TODAY Show will be here.
It is one of the most fun, new traditions that have started in Western New York. The greatest football team of all time has a fan base that kicks off their season ON THE WATER.
Kicking off the 2025 football season in true Buffalo style, the parade invites fans, families, and boaters from all around to come together on the waterfront for an unforgettable. If you have a boat you can join the fun and get in line by Riverworks and join the parade. It lasts about 90 minutes and the vibe is electric--boats are decorated, people are throwing footballs, the beers are flowing. It is really a great time and if you have never been out there.
If you DO NOT HAVE A BOAT and you do not want to rent on that is okay, Riverworks is where the viewing party will be and you can either bring a chair or just watch on the patio as the boats go on by. (Even if you don't have a boat you can donate to get the Mafia Boat Parade flag. We talked to the organizer, Ashley Dopp and she's confirmed that the TODAY Show, Good Morning America and more will be in town to cover the boat parade. It is no surprise because it is so fun, but also the NFL MVP is set to play his first snap of the year the following night on primetime television.
Saturday, September 6, 2025
There is going to be a pre-party the night before as well:

Every year, the money raised from the Boat Parade goes to a local charity in the Western New York area and this year the money will go to The Firefighter Arno Memorial Fund.
