New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo gained a lot of national attention for how New York State has handled the COVID-19 Pandemic. Now he is turning that attention into a book.

Earlier today it was announced that Governor Cuomo has signed a book deal to write about how the state responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. The book will be called "American Crisis" and will be available on October 13th.

According to the website, politico.com, the book will be an inside and personal look at how the Governor directed the state's response to COVID-19.

Andrew Cuomo chronicles in ‘American Crisis’ the ingenuity and sacrifice required of so many to fight the pandemic," according to Crown, “sharing his personal reflections and the decision-making that shaped his policy, and offers his frank accounting and assessment of his interactions with the federal government and the White House, as well as other state and local political and health officials.”

New York State remains one of the states with the lowest infection rate in the entire country. At the beginning of the pandemic, New York State had one of the highest infection rates in the United States.

The book is being published by Random House’s Crown imprint.
