Guinness Coming to Buffalo for Chicken Wing Record Attempt
There could be a new world record coming back to Buffalo, New York.
Before we get started, when we say "Buffalo, New York" that means all of Western New York. The world record attempt that is happening this weekend is actually in Bemus Point which is about an hour away.
The birthplace of the chicken wing is in Buffalo, New York and the Village Casino in Bemus Point will attempt to serve the most amount of chicken wings ever in a 24 hour period. Chicken wings will be $1 each and all of the money that they raise will go to the Bemus Point Volleyball Tournament.
They previously had the record for years. In fact, they broke their own record once after that. Weitzel’s Wings of Laramie, Wyoming, sold 48,083 Buffalo wings. In case you were wondering, that is where Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen went to college.

Now, the Village Casino in Bemus Point is trying to reclaim the record--but, make it untouchable. They are going to try and serve 55,000 chicken wings.
They are also asking the Buffalo Bills to show up, too!
The restaurant said that they do recognize that the Buffalo Bills are in the middle of pre-season, but they will be back from Rochester where they are currently doing training camp. On Friday, the Buffalo Bills will host the Red & Blue scrimmage at Highmark Stadium. Tickets are 'sold out' and have all been claimed for the event on Friday. The tickets were free.
