The price of your favorite wings are going up! A Buffalo standard and tradition for just about any football game party anywhere, the chicken wing industry is facing a shortage!

Ordinarily, chicken wings are sold by the pound, not by the wing total. As a result, more wings may be used to meet certain orders and experts are saying that is responsible for the recent shortage!

According to MetroSource News:

Wholesale prices for wings are set to rise, jumping from a-dollar-50 a pound to over two-dollars a pound. Experts say the shortage is in part due to a change in how wings are sold, now by weight instead of by wing count.

It's hard to beat the best. Recently Bar-Bill in East Aurora,NY was named "King of the Wing" and at least one Buffalo Bill was sampling the winner!
