Orchard Park Police Pranks West Seneca Police [PHOTOS]
When you were a kid, you probably played pranks on your family and friends. If you were so bold and not really mature, maybe you even pranked neighbors. Typically, that does not go over very well.
What about pranking for a great cause? That's happening around Western New York with police departments.
The West Seneca Police Department posted a photo today of a unicorn on their front lawn. It was left there by the Orchard Park Police Department as part of the Hope Rises cancer awareness. It's "Prank for a Purpose."
They're encouraging pranking neighbors for a great cause.
The West Seneca PD says that they will send it on over to the Cheektowaga Police Department.
Hope Rises allows you to prank someone by donating towards charity and you can get a unicorn of hope sent to an unsuspecting person or business.
The movement started in 2017 and has since raised over $250,000. The site was founded by Kate Glaser and they say they are not stopping anytime soon.
The form to fill out is pretty easy, although because of demand, you may have an extended wait time to have your prank take place. Yes, with a unicorn!
This is such a cool idea for a great cause. The inflatable unicorns stand out when you drive or walk by, which is exactly what a good movement does. It creates word of mouth. All for a great cause.
