Festive Holiday Tradition Returns Soon To Chestnut Ridge Park In Orchard Park
One of the most popular Christmas traditions is returning to Orchard Park soon. For those who grew up in the southtowns, it was a huge treat to get to visit Santaland every year at Chestnut Ridge Park, and they've announced that it will be coming back soon.
Do you remember going to Santaland as a kid?
You might have memories of visiting Santaland when you were little. Some of us were even lucky enough to visit as a field trip with your school. It was exactly like what you'd expect from visiting Santa's shop in the movies. We would get to visit the elves in their workshop. We'd drink hot cocoa and eat candy canes, and if we were good, we would get to meet the jolliest old elf there was - Santa Claus! Then, when we were done, we could bundle up and go outside to get some sledding in on their huge toboggan hill.
This year, they're doing it again.
Santaland will be opening again soon at Chestnut Ridge
They made the announcement today that you're going to be able to take your own kids to Santaland this year. It will be opening on December 13th!
Activities this year are a lot like the ones you remember when you were growing you. You'll be able to meet both Santa & Mrs. Claus, take a hayride, meet some live animals, get your face painted, do some crafts, check out a magic show, and get some lunch from a food truck on site.
They will even have a magical mailbox where you can mail your letter to Santa. They're encouraging people to print them out ahead of time and even have a template to make it easy for them. Get that here: https://bit.ly/48fv6M2
Get there early, though, it appears as though it's only going to be open for that one day (December 13th) from 10 am to 4 pm.
