Right now in Buffalo, we have the KeyBank Center to go to for large concerts. There's also Shea's Performing Arts Center. Up in Lewiston we have Artpark and there are many other smaller venues scattered throughout Western New York.

There will soon be another music venue and its setting will be perfect for concert-goers.

According to WIVB, the Buffalo Common Council has approved a new live music venue that will be large and sit at Buffalo's Waterfront.

It will be called The Pavilion at the Outer Harbor and will be able to accommodate up to 8,000 people for shows there.

Construction on the project will begin in the fall with an expected completion date of 2023.

This would likely replace the concerts at Canalside, as shows would now be performed at the Pavilion at the Outer Harbor, which will be located at Fuhrmann Blvd.

This sounds very promising. The waterfront is something we might take for granted in Buffalo (those who live here), but it really is a beautiful area and it's a phenomenal setting for live music shows. The view of Lake Erie with the sunsets and city lights on the other side will be great to see and I cannot wait for 2023 to get here so we can enjoy this music venue!
