If you have ever thought about adopting a pet, now is your chance to make a difference. If you have a safe and loving home, the time to properly care for a pet, and are free this week, come check out this adoption event going on now!

According to WGRZ, there are more than 100 rescue animals up for adoption at the PetSmart location in Amherst. The adoption event started September 26th and goes until October 2nd. The store is hosting this event for the Boudreaux's Animal Rescue Krewe, also known as "BARK", who are a no-kill rescue based out of Louisiana.

All the animals available for adoption are neutered or spayed, have their vaccines up to date, and are also micro-chipped. In order to adopt, you will need to go through an application process. Anyone interested in learning more, seeing the animals, or want to fill out an application to adopt are asked to stop in between 11a-7pm.

My dog happens to be a rescue, and just the best friend a guy could ask for! I encourage anyone who can give a loving home to any animal in need to do so and check out this event and any other shelters/adoption events in the area. It will be one of the most enjoyable, feel good experiences of your life, and a relationship second to none.
