Is Buffalo Really A Wing Town? [POLL]

We all know that Buffalo is the home of the Chicken Wing, but is the area really a true wing place?

Buffalo jumped on the food map back in 1964 when according to Wikipedia the chicken wing was invented here.

 One of the claims is that Buffalo wings were first prepared at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, by Teressa Bellissimo, who owned the bar with husband Frank in 1964

But given the choice to pick a favorite food, would Western New Yorkers choose chicken wings over other popular dishes?

I wanted to put that to the test so I created a VERY unscientific poll on Twitter asking people to choose one of the following:

Free Wings For Life
Free Tacos For Life
Free Burgers For Life
Free Pizza For Life

So, thinking that I am in Western New York, "Free Wings For Life" would be the runaway winner right? Wrong!

Now, don't get me wrong, I love me some good pizza, but being born and raised in West Seneca, I assumed that we all have blue cheese coursing thru our veins and we all would have chosen "Free Wings For Life"

The only good news is that after I created the poll, I got hungry so of course, you knew I had to down a double order of wings, hot with extra blue cheese!

It could have been worst, people could have written in brats!
