There is an new alert about a multi-state salmonella outbreak that pertains to eggs. But does the salmonella outbreak impact eggs sold in New York State?

The fall routine has started and it is back to school time! For many families in New York State that means a regular breakfast routine as well and eggs are a big part of that.

The CDC and the FDA have sent out an alert after eggs we found to cause a few people to become ill.

According to the post from the FDA on "X", formerly Twitter, and on the FDA recall website, the recall is for "All types (conventional cage-free, organic, and non-GMO chicken eggs) and sizes (M, L, XL, Jumbo) of recalled chicken eggs supplied by Milo's Poultry Farms, LLC in Bonduel, WI".

Are these eggs sold in New York State? Besides the eggs being found in Wisconsin,Illinois and Michigan, there a reports that the alert has been extended to California, Utah, and Virginia. However, if you happen to have a dozen of these eggs on hand, perhaps from a recent camping or road trip, the FDA suggests that: "Consumers who have purchased “Milo’s Poultry Farms” eggs or “Tony’s Fresh Market” eggs are urged not to consume them. Consumers with questions may contact the company at (715) 758-6709".
