Is The Party Over In New York State?
There may be some bad news on the horizon for fans of Party City in New York State as reports show financial issues continue.
With just a few days left in the year, corporations and businesses across New York are trying to tie up loose ends to make sure that the budget they have will make sense. There is a good chance that you know someone who has been laid off or work for a company that has plans to restructure in 2025.
We all shop online these days and unless you need something immediately, you can wait a day or two if it means saving money and the time to go to a brick and mortar store.

According to multiple reports, Party City is facing bankruptcy.
Yahoo Finance reports that: "Party City Holdco Inc. is considering options including a sale or a potential bankruptcy filing, just over a year after it emerged from Chapter 11..".
There are over 850 Party City locations across the United States and according to it's website, "Party City is the largest party retailer in North America. We've been in the business for more than thirty years, growing from a single location to a national chain with stores in most states". There are dozens of locations in New York State as well.
While there are currently no plans to close Party City locations locally, 2025 will be an interesting year. The busy holiday season is here and many will be shopping for New Year's Eve decorations like noise makers and party favors. We shop Party City for balloons all the time for the kid's birthday parties and for seasonal fun like for St. Patrick's Day!
