The Buffalo Bills are staying busy through the first several days of free agency, which is also the start of the 2023 league year.

The Bills have signed both wide receiver Deonte Harty (formerly of the Saints) and offensive lineman Connor McGovern (formerly of the Cowboys), along with signing quarterback Kyle Allen; to back up starter, Josh Allen.

The Bills have to be cognizant of the salary cap as well. They restructured the contract of running back Nyheim Hines, so he could stay in Buffalo. They did release a player on Friday and it's someone who has been with Buffalo since 2018.

The Bills have released wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie.

McKenzie carried a cap hit of $2.5 million and this saves the Bills money against the cap. The writing was on the wall with the Harty signing and even though it's sad to see McKenzie go, it's not surprising.

After the release was made official, McKenzie tweeted his heartfelt goodbye to Buffalo and Bills fans.

The Bills will surely be in the market for at least one more wide receiver, but we just have to wait and see if that comes in the way of a free agent signing, or if they use a day one or two draft pick on that position.

Many Bills fans still believe that Buffalo needs more help at wide receiver, specifically at the number two spot behind Stefon Diggs.

McKenzie was a player that teammates loved and fans gravitated to. Hopefully, he lands somewhere soon.
