Isaiah McKenzie Tries to Lure Free Agent to Buffalo on Twitter
The Buffalo Bills made a huge splash in free agency on Wednesday when they signed star edge rusher, Von Miller to a 6-year, $120 million contract.
The Bills have also signed guard Rodger Saffold, tight end O.J. Howard and defensive tackles Tim Settle and DaQuan Johnson.
Are the Bills done though? It feels like general manager Brandon Beane has another trick or two up his sleeve and Isaiah McKenzie is banking on that as well.
McKenzie re-signed with the Bills on a two-year contract worth up to $8 million this past Sunday. On Wednesday, he was trying to lure another wide receiver to the Bills.
McKenzie tweeted at Julio Jones to come join the Bills. He added Jones doesn’t have to practice with them during the week, just show up on Sundays.
Julio Jones was officially released by the Tennessee Titans this week in a salary cap saving move. Jones only spent one season in Tennessee after the Titans gave up a 2nd round pick for him.
Jones is in the back-half of his career but could still be a useful receiver. He might not have the same separation as he once did, however, which might be enough for the Bills to not make the move.
My guess is the Bills add another wide receiver in the NFL Draft, likely in the first 2-3 rounds. They could even take one at pick 25.
I’m all for the Bills drafting wide receiver at 25 or round 2. They do need another one on the roster.
