What Health Inspectors Found In Wyoming County Restaurants
Health code inspectors in Wyoming County were busy last month checking to make sure each restaurant and other non-food spots that prepare food, like schools and jails, meet certain safety standards. There are quite a few safety concerns a food spot can violate, including "Food not protected during storage, preparation, display, transportation and service, from potential sources of contamination (e.g., food uncovered, mislabeled, stored on floor, missing or inadequate sneeze guards, food containers double stacked), or "Floors, walls, ceilings, not smooth, properly constructed, in disrepair, dirty surfaces."
Some food spots even receive critical violations, such as "Cooked or prepared foods are subject to cross-contamination from raw foods."
