With the arrival of spring in Buffalo and Western New York, we're finally able to get back to doing all sorts of activities that we were not able to do during the long and weird winter we had. Whether it's getting outside and working on that garden or enjoying a nice meal or drink out on the patio, spring is one of Buffalo's favorite times of the year.

Another thing that comes along with spring is America's National Pastime, Baseball.

We especially love Baseball here in Buffalo and Western New York, from our beloved Buffalo Bisons and their storied history in the 716 to the MLB, NCAA Baseball at our local colleges, dozens of high school teams, and of course little league. Baseball is in Buffalo's blood and it starts at a young age.

Baseball's History in New York

Not only is Baseball an all-American activity, but it also has a special space in the heart of New York State.

Not only is the National Baseball Hall of Fame located in Cooperstown, New York, but for many years it was believed that baseball itself was created by New Yorker Abner Doubleday in 1839.
