Hurricane Idalia has come and gone across Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas and it looks like if you were planning on taking a trip down south for the long Labor Day weekend you should be ok.


Now that the storm has passed, it looks like airports in Tampa Bay and Orlando are back to normal.

Flights from Buffalo International Airport to Tampa Bay and Orlando are set to depart today on time.

Flights from John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City to Tampa and Orlando are also set to depart today on time.

While the effect of storm surges and high winds from Idalia can still be seen around Florida, the cleanup has already started and major airports are back to normal operations.

The best bet as clean-up continues in the Southeast is to make sure you double-check with your airline for travel times to make sure there are no delays or cancellations before you head out to the airport.
