Two local beers from Western New York were recently named some of the best beers in the world. Men's Journal recently put out a list of the 50 best beers in the world and you will find some very familiar beers on the list.

According to their article, Men's Journal used these criteria to rank their beers. They tried to find beers that are available all year long and have a good distribution so you can easily get them.

The panel broke down the Top 50 beers into categories based on the style of beer. The different categories included IPAs, stouts, sour ales, amber ales, lagers, pilsners, barrel-aged beers, and holiday beers.

Southern Tier Pumpkin Spice was named one of the best Pumpkin Spice beers.
