Should Parents In New York Give Valentine’s Day Gift To Their Kids?
Today is Valentine's Day and many parents in New York are ready to give presents to their kids.
I am here to say, You Don't Have To!
WHAT IS VALENTINE'S DAY?
The definition of "Valentine's Day" according to britannica.com is a holiday that celebrates fertility.
The holiday has origins in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, held in mid-February. The festival, which celebrated the coming of spring, included fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery.
That's right, to me, Valentine's Day is a romantic holiday and if you choose to give someone a gift, it should be the romantic partner in your life
@new961buffalo As a parent do you send Valentine’s Day gifts to your kids? Now if you think that I am 100% wrong, just know that you are not alone. A lot of people say that Valentine's Day is for the people in your life that you love and that includes your kids.

I get it if you want to get your small children something, it helps instill the thought of giving in them, but when they reach school age and will be exchanging Valentine's with other kids, as a parent you don't have to get them one.

So next year, just know you, as a parent, should not stress about getting your kids a gift for Valentine's Day.
