
Do The Patriots Really Own The AFC East?
With the teams set to battle it out in Super Bowl LX, you have to recognize the feeling that is floating around Buffalo and Western New York as the Bills are home again after exiting the NFL Playoffs early.
This year's Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California, will feature the Seattle Seahawks, who will appear in their 4th NFL Championship Game, as they face off against the New England Patriots, who are now going to the big game for a record 12th time.
With New England's performance in the league since they began playing in 1960, is it time for us in Buffalo to accept that the Patriots are the king of the AFC East?
Who Truly Runs the AFC East, Buffalo or New England?
The AFC East, for many years, the AFC East was one of the League's divisions that people paid a lot of attention to. With the early success of the New York Jets, the dominance of the Miami Dolphins in the 1970s, the Bills' big run in the late 80s and early 90s, and the dynasty the Patriots built in the 2000's, it can be quite exciting to watch the teams in the east battle it out.
However, there may be no more storied rivalry than the one that Buffalo and New England have.

Since both teams started playing in the NFL in 1960, they have faced each other 133 times. While the Patriots are the clear winners in the rivalry, winning 80 of those 133 games, they are tied when it comes to their battles in the playoffs.
While the Bills had earned 5 straight AFC East titles over the last 6 years, with the Patriots winning the division this year and now advancing to their 12th Super Bowl, are they really the team to beat in the AFC East?
Until the Bills are able to find a way to get past the Playoff Wall that is keeping Buffalo from advancing to the big game, we might need to accept what the data says.
