Another rescue happened at the beginning of February when multiple agencies attempted to rescue two horses that got stuck on the ice in Clinton Corners, New York. Both horses were rescued but unfortunately, we later learned that "Hitch", the older mare had to be euthanized after the rescue due to injuries it suffered. So sad!!! Thankfully, a similar rescue that happened earlier this week didn't have the same result.

As you can see in the video SSP Officer Kyle Clinton was first on the scene and began to help the horse's owner in pulling the horse out of the water with a rope. Officers Kris Camarro and Dominic Martuscello arrived shortly after and immediately joined the rescue efforts. Thankfully working together they were all able to successfully rescue the horse from the frozen pond.

Once the horse was removed from the water he was able to get to his feet and was walked to a nearby barn to receive veterinarian care. A rescue like this is a great example of teamwork and says a lot about the character of the officers at the Saratoga Springs Police Department. Fantastic job done by all involved!
