Josh Allen Had Greatest Two-Game Stretch In NFL Playoff History

It was the absolute most gut-wrenching way to lose a game for Buffalo Bills fans. The Bills lost 42-36 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game, in what many fans are claiming to be the greatest NFL playoff game in history.

There are a ton of different layers that fans and analysts are sorting through, and we can get in to that later, but the one big thing (long-term) that fans can take away is that Josh Allen is one of the top two quarterbacks in the NFL. The other, obviously, being Patrick Mahomes.

But Josh Allen somehow, outdid his historic perfect performance last week against the New England Patriots.

Allen completed 27 of 37 passes for 329 yards and 4 touchdowns. Allen led two seemingly game-winning drives at the end of the 4th quarter, including a 4th and 13 touchdown pass to Gabriel Davis and an insane 2-point conversion to Stefon Diggs.

Allen also had a long touchdown pass to Davis to put the Bills up 36-33 with 13 seconds left.

Allen has 771 total yards, threw for 9 touchdowns and only had 14 total incompletions. Allen had a total quarterback rating near 150 and had zero turnovers, along with scoring 83 total points.

Allen's numbers mean that he just had the greatest two-game stretch of any quarterback in NFL history, with the only one in the same company being the opposing quarterback, Mahomes.

This was the worst feeling I've felt as a Buffalo sports fan in years. In fact, this is probably the worst feeling I've felt since game 7 of the 2006 Eastern Conference Final between the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes.

Josh Allen is the most gifted quarterbacks we have eve seen in the NFL. He has one of the strongest arms on the planet, is a huge threat running the ball, can diagnose defenses as good as anyone, and shows he's clutch in the biggest games and biggest moments.

It's a shame he didn't win that game, because he could not have possibly played any better.
