Josh Allen’s Injury Has Buffalo Bills Fans Worried
Last night was probably the most unenjoyable win for Buffalo Bills fans in quite some time.
The Bills won a nail-biter over the struggling New York Giants, 14-9 on Sunday Night Football. The Bills had a whale of a time all night with the injury-depleted Giants, not scoring a touchdown until early in the 4th quarter. The Bills were held without points in the first half for the first time since the 2019 season finale.
Josh Allen played a good game, despite the struggles elsewhere. However, his injury has many Bills fans worried heading into week 7.
Allen hurt his throwing shoulder in the second quarter, as he was driven into the ground. He left a play later because of concussion protocol, but that shoulder was definitely bothering him afterwards.
After the win, Allen went to get x-rays but the star quarterback said he would be fine in postgame.
Many are wondering what happened to that throwing shoulder. Banged Up Bills referenced to the mechanics of the hit to an AC joint sprain.
Ian Rapoport says this shouldn’t be a major injury and Allen’s throwing wasn’t impacted but they will continue to do more testing.
The Bills next play at the New England Patriots for a 1 pm game. This will be followed by a short rest week, with the Bills hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football. That means two games in 11 days, starting this upcoming Sunday.
Hopefully, Allen's shoulder injury is nothing to worry about moving forward but we simply don't yet know the exact severity (if any severity).
