Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman was injured on one of the last plays of last week's game against Miami.  Now, questions remain about how injured he is.

It was a brutal hit that former Buffalo Bill Jordan Poyer laid on rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman as the Bills attempted to steal a win from the Dolphins.  It was also a huge play that ended up putting the Bills in field goal range after a flag for unnecessary roughness.

What many thought would end up being a head injury or a concussion turned out instead to be a wrist injury.  Poyer put his helmet right on Coleman's wrist when he was trying to catch the ball.  Coleman held his wrist as he made his way to the bench and trainers looked him over.

After the game people began to speculate as to how bad the injury might be and if it would hold him out of any playing time in the future.

For now, here's what we know:

Coleman was injured on the play.

He's listed on the injury report with a wrist injury.

They haven't said how bad the injury actually is.

When talking about Coleman's injury Coach McDermott said "I'll know more as we move through the week here. Just holding out hope one way here or the other, but we'll see. We'll see where it goes."

That seems like good news considering they were dealing with another wrist injury to defensive tackle Dauwane Smoot and he was sent to IR and needed surgery.  You would assume that if it was an injury that he needed to have surgery on, they would put him on IR and get it taken care of as soon as possible.  The fact that they think he might be able to come back might mean that it's not as severe.

There was another sign that might be good news in practice today also.  While he was listed on the injury report as "DNP" or did not practice, according to the Bills sideline reporter Sal Capaccio, he did take part in the stretching drills.  He was not wearing a brace, he didn't have it wrapped, and he didn't have a red non-contact jersey on which is what they wear when they're nursing an injury.

Aside from Coleman's injury, most other players were full go at practice.  Five were listed as "Limited" today.
