If you were listening to rock in the late 70's and early 80's, then you might remember Canadian rocker Kim Mitchell. Kim first tasted fame when he was a member of the Canadian band "Max Webster". Max Webster regularly played here in Buffalo, opening up for bands like RUSH and UFO. After Max Webster broke up, Kim Mitchell went on to have a successful career as a solo artist. Kim has probably done more than 50 gigs here in Western new York over the last 30 years. I have seen him at least a dozen times.

Check out these photos from 1983 when Kim played a gig at my neighborhood bar, Stage One which was located on Main Street in Clarence. My good friend Tom Garwol took these photos.

Kim still does some gigs here and there with his long-time band mate Peter Fredette. He can be heard daily on Q-107 in Toronto where he is the afternoon drive personality.
