Kurt Busch pulled away from Jimmie Johnson on a late restart at Dover International Speedway and claimed his second victory of the season.   It moved him from ninth to fourth in the Chase for the Sprint Cup standings only 7 points out of first place.   It’s Busch’s 24th career victory and first at Dover.

Johnson came in second with Carl Edwards coming in third.  Harvick won the Nationwide race on Saturday leading 179 of 200 laps and just might have made it a weekend sweep.  He dominated the race until he was penalized a lap for speeding on pit road.

Edwards is tied with Kevin Harvick for the points lead with seven races left.  Harvick came in tenth.  Johnson – the five-time defending cup champion is fifth in the standings now, 13 points back.

The biggest loser was Tony Stewart who dropped from first to third in the standings, nine points out of the lead after a 25th place finish.

Next up on the schedule is Kansas Speedway.
