The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow warning that will go in to place as of Friday morning.

The alert is calling for heavy lake snows to fall in Wyoming, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and Southern Erie County and includes places like Jamestown and Orchard Park!

"A prolonged lake effect snow event will unfold through early next week. To start, here are the travel impacts through Friday. Travel conditions will worsen Friday night through the weekend as multiple feet of lake effect snow accumulates".

As much as a foot or more of lake snow will fall and travel will be extremely difficult!

Officially, the alert mentions that the storm impact is "including the cities of Warsaw, Jamestown, Olean, Orchard Park, and Springville"

Will this impact the Buffalo Bills and San Fransico 49ers game? It may be too early to tell and the impact in and around the stadium may be minimal. Check with NWS and this outlet for more information this weekend.
