It has been exciting to see UB doing so well in athletics this year.  The UB Basketball team is ranked in the AP Top 25 and the UB Football team saw it's most successful season in their history.  And UB has just signed their head coach on to a 5-year extension.

There's little debate that with a school record 10 wins and trips to the MAC Championship and a bowl game (The Dollar General Bowl), the UB Bulls had one of their best seasons ever.

Leipold was named MAC coach of the year for the 2018-2019 season - just the second coach in UB history to have that honor.

Their talent was talked about from the beginning of the season with quarterback Tyree Jackson and wide receiver Anthony Johnson being predicted to be first round picks in the upcoming NFL Draft.

But often players don't succeed without direction from their coach which is a big reason why he was asked to stay on as head coach for the next 5 years.
