Legoland New York Announces 2022 opening
Parents and families now have a new theme park to visit in New York State.
LEGOLAND® New York Resort in Goshen, Orange County, officially opened for its first official full season in 2022 today. The park, which opened for an abbreviated season in July of last year, will be offering a full season of events this summer, including their first-ever 4th of July fireworks show. Also new to the park, this year is the LEGO® City Water Playground, which will offer guests a chance to build and race their own LEGO boat.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul said:
We are thrilled to welcome travelers from all over the state and world as LEGOLAND New York Resort opens for the season.... The future is bright for LEGOLAND New York and we look forward to many successful seasons to come as we continue our economic comeback from COVID-19.
The resort also includes a 250-room LEGOLAND Hotel, which was designed and built with children specifically in mind. It is sold out for most of the month of April already. The rooms sound like a LEGO® fan's dream, as they feature a separate children's sleeping area so mom and dad can have some peace and quiet, daily children's entertainment, and scavenger hunts for LEGO prizes.
The first Legoland opened in Billund, Denmark in 1968. There are now four in Europe, three in Asia, and three in the US, with Legoland New York being the newest one to open.
