The organization made the announcement in 2019 that Legoland would be bringing its 50 rides, shows and attractions across seven themed "lands," to New York to open on July 4th, 2020. There will be a Legoland Hotel for those who want to spend multiple days at the park, and guests can choose from a number of themed rooms like Pirate, Castle, an Lego Ninjago.

Obviously, COVID-19 concerns have made the original opening date impossible, but the park is still planning on moving forward with a grand opening in 2021.

Per their website:

In adherence to the evolving restrictions and guidance of the CDC and state and local governments in response to the coronavirus pandemic, we are delaying the opening of LEGOLAND New York Resort until 2021.

There are two other Legoland locations, but neither of those will be closer than this one.  The first opened in Carlsbad, California and the other is in New Haven, Florida.

There are three tiers of Annual Passes and they are already on sale starting at $119.99, along with single-day tickets starting as low as $62.99. All are available for purchase on LEGOLAND New York’s website.

Details about Grand Opening celebrations will be announced in 2020.
