The "Light The Night" event was the annual walk that raised funds for research to fight Leukemia and other cancers and to remember and honor those that have been touched by cancer.

Last year the walk was moved from Delaware Park to Canalside and this year the walk will be moved online.

I personally had a chance to co-emcee the event the past two years and was amazed by the love and stories of survivors, those who lost their fight against cancer, and those who are in the middle of the battle.

It was amazing to see all the lanterns turn the dark into a lighted celebration of life.

The virtual "Light The Night" event will take place on Saturday, October 24th, and will allow those who have participated in person in the past to continue to gather together in a safe environment.

According to their press release, "there will be exciting new technology that allows people to engage together, even though we cannot gather together."

Everything leading up to the virtual event will remain the same including fundraising pages, the only difference will be the experience of the "Light The Night" event.
