If you could be remembered after you pass away with one gesture, what would it be?  For Joan A. Pillittere, that gesture meant free hot dogs over the weekend.

According to WKBW, Joan was the past president of the Escarpment Belles and a member of the Lewiston Council of the Arts.  She also loved hot dogs.  It was her favorite food.

Unfortunately, she passed away back in July 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Her son Joseph Pillittere Jr. chose to remember her by giving away 500 hot dogs.  It was her favorite food.  Along with The Silo Restaurant in Lewiston they hosted the 3rd Annual, "Raise a Hotdog for Joan".

I just want to bring people out to celebrate the life of a great mother. It's also an opportunity to create smiles and spread kindness." said Pillittere.

So if you could be remembered by something, what would you want people to do for you?
