Major Construction Will Cause Problems Through July on Transit Road

Transit Road could be a problem in the early morning this week. There is going to be some major construction this week in the Lancaster and Depew area.

Every single night, crews will be milling Transit Road from 10 PM to 6 AM from French Road (by Antoinette's) all the way to Wherle by Hobby Lobby.

There will be some temporary striping and lane closures during this time, but the problem is that the milling process is going to go through July. In 2022, the DOT did a lot of work on Transit Road, especially by the corner of Transit and Genesee.

Officials put in a brand new pedestrian bridge just north of Genesee on Transit Road that will soon be open to the public.
