The need is greater than ever to support FeedMore WNY. Hunger is not only an issue around the Holidays, it is year-round for thousands of families in Western New York. The truth is, the pandemic has had a major impact on families who were already struggling to make ends meet.

The owners and staff at the two Market in the Square locations have come through in a big way for Western New York families who need a hand these days. Not only did the customers donate over $2500 dollars this past week for FeedMore WNY, Market in the Square dropped off a truckload of granola bars as well! More than 900 lbs of delicious and healthy snacks that will be distributed to those who are trying to keep the lights on and the family fed. Many of these granola bars will be used in the FeedMore WNY "Backpack Program" which prepares food packages for kids to enjoy on the weekends in between the meals they receive from school.

Easter weekend is coming and if you are looking for a great way to give back, FeedMore WNY can always use donations. I learned that there is a need for diapers and wipes. Most people think of giving non-perishable food items which is absolutely a need. But there are many moms and dads who, for no fault of their own, can use a little help with essentials for their children.

Thanks again to Market in the Square for their generosity. I am proud to be a spokesperson for such a community minded company that is owned and operated by a wonderful family with it's roots in Western New York!
