Martina McBride on Kelly Clarkson: ‘She’ll Be a Fun Mom’

As a soon-to-be first-time mama, there's no better confidence booster than a thumbs up from a mom who has been around the block a few times. Superstar Martina McBride, who has three kids, recently sang pregnant Kelly Clarkson's praises, insisting that she's sure to be a "fun mom."

Clarkson only just found out she's expecting a sweet girl with her husband Brandon Blackstock (stepson of Reba McEntire), and if she's experiencing any jitters about parenting, all she needs to do is give McBride a call.

"She's really fun," the 'Concrete Angel' hitmaker dishes. "Kelly's outgoing and very direct and I feel like she'll be a fun mom."

Adds McBride, "She has a really good head on her shoulders and she's a strong person. I think that will be good for her and her child as well."

Clarkson also shares a mutual respect for McBride, and was able to sing on her upcoming album 'Everlasting.' "Recorded a soulful song with @martinamcbride and I have to say, it's pretty bad a--. A nice distraction from being pregnant! Thanks girl!" the mom-to-be tweeted.

When the crossover star's daughter gets into her teenage years and perhaps experiences the angst that so many go through, Clarkson can use McBride's words as proof that she is a fun mom!
