Massive 12 Day Fireworks Display In New York State

The summer ain't over yet! The temperatures lately feel more like early fall in some places around Western New York. However, this coming weekend may be the best and most exciting of the summer!

From concerts to corn festivals and rodeos, there is something for every family to enjoy this weekend and it is a great preview to what some call the Best 12 Days of Summer!

The Erie County Fair is about to begin in Hamburg, New York as the opening day is scheduled for Wednesday, August 9th!

Among the thousands of things to see and do at the Erie County Fair this year is the return of the daily (nightly) fireworks show!!

2 On Your Side, WGRZ is proud to present nightly fireworks over the skies of the Erie County Fair. Each night of the Fair at 9:30, spectators will be dazzled by a pyrotechnic extravaganza produced by Skylighters of Western New York

When you go to the Erie County Fair this summer, there has been a great deal of work done on the fairgrounds in the "off season". Many of the buildings are either new or have been upgraded and some of the dusty, bumpy driveways have been paved over and are so smooth!

Enjoy this year's Erie County Fair and make sure that you visit the kids and families of the Erie County 4H and FFA programs in the barns and agriculture buildings. The heart and soul of the county fairs in New York State is agriculture.
